The hotel location in Galata is exceptional. It is 3-4 minute walk to the Metro (stop Sishane, exit 6 Daire), and 5-8 minute walk to Galata Tower, Istikal Street, Istikal trolley car, and the Tunel funicular down to Galata Bridge. Note: It is hilly in Galata, so these are medium-to strenuous walks, over some cobble-stone pavement. I can't emphasize enough how nice, efficient, and cheap the Metro is, as streets are very crowded, taxis get stuck in traffic, and the trams are jam-packed. As for my room, I got a Booking.Com genius upgrade and was pleased to arrive and be given a 6th floor Executive Double room with balcony with table & chair overlooking the middle stretch of the Golden Horn. I had partial view (not panarama) but could still watch sunsets directly, sunrises indirectly, and daylight boat action on the Golden Horn. Room and bed were spacious, including two cozy arm chairs and ottoman (pun intended). Breakfast was OK, a minimal buffet, heavy on cheese and vegetables. While I was told I would pay extra for a cappuccino at breakfast, the front desk comped me for it (i.e., they did not charge me). The hotel also offered airport transportation for $55 one way ($105 roundtrip) for up to 4 people. The van was spacious, like a mini-limo, and the driver was on time and helpful. That probably cost more than a taxi, but had much more room.

Hotel is located right in the heart of Istanbul, perfect location (its opposite high end hotels like Soho house and the infamous Pera Palas Hotel to give you an idea) We literally walked everywhere, so it’s location was perfect. If needs be there is a metro station nearby for the underground. We had one of the suites with a balcony - the room was spacious and the balcony gave some good views. Hotel was clean and very presentable. We were out doing touristy things everyday so didn’t make use of all the facilities so cannot comment. Staff were exceptional. Always very friendly and super super helpful. From the Manager, to the receptionist and porters. Special shout outs to Burak, Onur, Çıto…. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We have stayed at the hotel twice now on separate visits and enjoyed both times.

Very good hotel with amazing service and friendly reception gay: boris&ounur I highly recommend this outstanding hotel. The service was exceptional, and the reception gays were incredibly helpful. The hotel is centrally located, making it convenient to explore the city. We had a fantastic vacation and will definitely return. I must mention the excellent cleanliness. The rooms were spotless, and the daily service was exceptional. Staying in a clean and tidy environment greatly enhanced our experience.

The facilities are very nice, when we arrived they gave us a better room than the one we booked with wonderful views. I have to name Rasim, he was a great professional and made my birthday the best, he put us in the room fruit and a little detail. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I used to stay there a lot in the past (over 10 years ago) and the hotel of course is now a bit tired, but the original design is very good and high quality. Very well located and excellent quality /price ratio, good Turkish breakfast.
